A top quality Home Theatre installation allows an individual to experience a film as the Director truly intended. The advancement of both audio and video components in recent years has meant that the dynamic impact of the sound, and the film-like quality of the picture, provides a dramatic intense overall effect that cannot be duplicated in large auditoriums or multiplexes.

To achieve the impact required in a Home Theatre it is essential that only the highest quality components are used. Knowing which components to select and where to find them is where the expertise of Colbach Hadley comes in. No wires, no distortion, no ugly boxes.

Anyone can buy a ‘Home Theatre system’ from a High Street store. But this is the lower end of the market. The performance will not deliver the true film experience. At another level there are various ‘designer brands’ that are high priced, average performance for the money you spend but again suit the kind of person that values style over exemplary performance. At the top level co-ordinated and well chosen components completely and properly installed will, quite literally, take your breath away! To experience sound and vision at this level is quite emotional and intense and gives you a listening and viewing experience that cannot be described in words. And then when you add motion as well...but it doesn’t have to cost the earth!

A typical home theatre set up at this top level will usually have a dedicated room. Sound treated to minimize unwanted distortion it will usually have remote controlled air conditioning, lighting and electric window blackout control. The pictures will come via either a screen – fixed or electric that can be as large as you want – or Plasma/LCD displays. Size will often dictate which is used. The screen is used to show the picture from a projector which can be completely hidden from view or lower discreetly from the ceiling. The projector gives true film-like quality. Source components are normally DVD, Video, Satellite, TV, computer or any other source. All fully integrated and controlled via one touch screen remote control. The sound will normally be fed via 8 channels involving subwoofers, surround speakers and full range speakers left and right, front and rear. The actual number depends on the size of the room. Over specified amplification ensures zero distortion or compression of the sound and gives the impact needed for a film. This is fed again via co-ordinated source components which can include DVD, hard disc soundservers, tuners, CD etc. Linked to multi room audio systems - allowing the sound and video to be heard in any room - the system is complete. The finishing touches include cinema seating – basic or totally luxurious - and all the effects to complete the whole installation.
